Why float regularly

One float resets you. A routine keeps you there.

Nobody stops floating because it stopped working. Life gets busy, and the one hour that was just for you quietly falls off the list. The calm you felt walking out of the tank is a baseline you can get back to — and the benefits build the more consistently you float.

◐

A nervous system on overload

Stress compounds. Weeks of being switched-on keep your body braced without you noticing. An hour with no light, no sound, and no gravity pulls you out of fight-or-flight — and with regular floats, your nervous system learns the way back faster each time.

☾

Sleep that slipped

The deep sleep floating gives you fades when you stop. The magnesium, the full-body decompression, and the calm afterward tend to show up that same night — a standing float keeps a bad stretch from settling in.

◇

Pain and tension that built back up

900 lbs of Epsom salt takes every pound of gravity off your spine and joints for a full hour. For chronic pain, tight backs, and old injuries, that decompression is relief that's hard to find anywhere else.

⟳

Recovery after training

If you're training hard, your body is carrying the load. Floating flushes tension, speeds recovery, and gives your muscles an hour of true zero-load rest — so the next session feels better than the last.

Not ready for a membership?

Did you ever claim your one-time beginner offer?

A lot of people try one float and never get around to the beginner 3-pack — our first-timer deal: buy 2 floats, get the 3rd free.

It really does take about three floats for your body to fully learn to let go. The first is your body learning the room; the third is the one people are actually chasing.

Buy 2 · get 1 free

Complete all 3 within 60 days and we'll give you a free 60-minute float.

Float together in the XL Dream Pod

Our XL Dream Pod is one of the only couples tanks in the Boston area — two people, one hour, no phones, no talking required. It's the rare thing you can do side by side and still come out feeling like you got time to yourself.

Good for date night, anniversaries, or dragging a friend along who's never floated. Floating solo? Request the XL when you book — there's a lot more room to stretch out.

Why people keep coming back

★★★★★

This place is excellent. I consistently leave feeling relaxed and refreshed. The owner, Mark, keeps upgrading the float and recovery experiences they offer, and I am always impressed at the friendly, helpful service I receive there.

My fiancé and I had a wonderful experience. We both found the space warm and welcoming, the float itself very comfortable, and found ourselves incredibly relaxed afterwards. Highly recommend!

I'm glad my first float tank experience was at Float Boston. The owner Mark was willing to answer any questions to help ease my nerves and excitement. I immediately felt comfortable in his space.

A few things returning floaters ask

Is there a contract on memberships?
There's a 3-month minimum. After that it's month-to-month and you can cancel anytime — we just ask for 30 days' notice before your next billing cycle. You can also upgrade or downgrade whenever you like.
What if I miss a month?
Your floats roll over. They never expire while your membership is active, so a busy month doesn't cost you anything. Most membership floats can also be shared with friends or family — the exception is Unlimited memberships, which are tied to your account.
Can I still use my old package or credits?
Yes — any floats or credits on your account are still there waiting for you. Just log in when you book, or call us at 857-227-9465 and we'll sort it out in a minute.
I've floated once. Can I still get the 3-float offer?
The beginner 3-pack is a one-time first-timer deal. If you tried a single float but never claimed the pack, it's yours to grab. If you've already used it, a membership is the best price on floats from here.
How often should I float?
There's no wrong answer — some people come weekly, some monthly. Better sleep, lower stress, and less pain tend to compound the more consistently you float. If you're coming back, once every week or two is a great rhythm to rebuild.
Where are you located?
515 Medford Street, Somerville, MA 02145. Easy to reach from Boston, Cambridge, and the surrounding area. Open Monday–Saturday 8am–7pm and Sunday 11am–7pm.
Also here: Contrast Therapy

Heat. Cold. Reset.

A private suite with an infrared sauna — red light therapy built in — and a cold plunge. You cycle between them for a full hour: heat, cold, rest, repeat. Timers on the wall keep the rhythm, so you're not doing math in a hot room.

The whole suite is yours, and you can bring a guest at no extra charge. People book it for muscle recovery, soreness and stiffness, a mood lift, and better sleep.

Red light included

Infrared sauna

Infrared penetrates into tissue rather than just heating the air, so you warm from the inside out. The 660nm red light runs the whole time you're in there.

Commercial grade

Cold plunge

A serious plunge, right there in your suite. Start at 30–60 seconds and build from there. What comes after the first few seconds is the reason people keep booking it.

Vitamin C filtered

Post-session shower

Every session ends in the vitamin C filtered shower. It neutralizes chlorine and leaves skin and hair noticeably softer.

Float and contrast, same visit

We can book them back to back with a transition window between. Contrast first and you'll drop into the tank faster than you ever have; float first and the calm carries straight through the heat and cold. Just tell us you want both when you book.

Also here: Cryotherapy

Targeted cold, exactly where you need it

Handheld cryotherapy with the Kaasen device — cold delivered to one area at a time instead of a whole-body chamber. Two very different reasons people book it:

Pain & recovery

Knees, shoulders, backs, old injuries, post-workout soreness. The cold pass drops tissue temperature fast to calm inflammation and quiet pain in the specific spot that's bothering you.

Contouring & skin

The aesthetic side: targeted treatments on specific areas, done as a series of sessions spaced days apart.
